ICAN – Information for Child and Adolescent Nurturing

ICAN offers a comprehensive 12-module, 36-credit hour course, ICAN Information for Child and Adolescents Nurturing, designed for adults who are involved in the care or work with children and young peopleAdditionally, the course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the physical, social, and emotional needs of children and adolescents. It also covers various parenting and caregiving styles, effective communication strategies, and conflict-resolution skills. Participants will also learn about the impact of trauma on child development and how to provide support to children who have experienced trauma. The course is designed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge that can be applied in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, and community organizations.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be assigned cases to assess and will receive a certificate of completion.
